'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden major trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would definitely think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
