Two Individuals Charged with Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the death in prison of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) stand indicted for homicide and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by investigating officers.
Watkins, 48, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes among them the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were confiscated.
